Grünbeck water filters: Great skills even with the smallest particles.
It's the little things that have an impact on success. Sometimes even tiny ones: the smallest particles. It is precisely these that are reliably filtered out of your tap water by Grünbeck water filters. What remains is pure water and a good feeling. Some of your devices can also benefit from Grünbeck water filters. For example, drinking water heaters and shower heads. They last much longer without scaling and run more efficiently at the same time. Given that fine filters and backwash filters have very different advantages, Grünbeck offers you both variants as well as a highly flexible filter series that can be easily retrofitted.
Indeed, why water filters? Our drinking water is of high quality.
If you like to drink a lot of tap water, you don't have to worry about its quality. Drinking water is provided to us in perfect condition by the water supplier, usually the municipal waterworks. Therefore, a Grünbeck water filter should be seen far more as a technical prerequisite for fulfilling the requirements of the TrinkwV (= German Drinking Water Ordinance) ).
However, on the way from the waterworks to our house, small solid particles such as rust particles from old pipes or grains of sand can be swept into the water. These small particles can lead to pitting and corrosion damage in the installation or cause malfunctions in drinking water heaters. Over time, shower heads or aerators can become clogged, or the particles can compromise the function of fittings. Our Grünbeck engineers have therefore developed optimal solutions to prevent functional faults as far as possible. Filters are the first step in water treatment, followed by water softeners.
Grünbeck drinking water filters are designed according to European and national DIN standards:
Attention must be paid to the following:
In accordance with the written DIN standards, and the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance, the filter cartridge must be replaced at least every 6 months, and backwashing must be performed in accordance with DIN EN 806-5, A. To ensure optimum filter capacity with regard to pollutants and hygiene, we even recommend carrying this out every 2 months.
7 reasons for installing a filter
What is filtered out by Grünbeck water filters? The important elements are left behind.
Water filters at the start of the installation inside buildings prevent pollutants from entering the domestic water system. The domestic water filter filters out small solid particles (80 - 150 µm DIN EN 13443-1), such as rust and sand. Hormones and medicine residues, however, cannot be filtered out of the water.
Important: The time for filter installation is according to DIN EN 806-4, 6.1.1 "...The hot or cold water installation may only be filled with drinking water that does not contain particles ≥ 150 µm (e.g. removed by mechanically acting filters according to EN 13443-1). …”
Water filters for any application
Each of our Grünbeck water filters is planned according to the intended use and installed with care. It is relevant whether you are interested in a water installation inside buildings or the water filter is used for commercial and industrial purposes. The following drinking water filters are available; for detailed questions and information, please contact our team.
So-called fine filters or cartridge filters are referred to as replacement filters. These are filters that cannot be backwashed. In case of heavy contamination and/or increased differential pressure, the filter cartridge must be replaced. However, in order to maintain hygiene and consistent water performance, the filter cartridge must be replaced at least every 6 months.
100% filter capacity over a long period of time simply by replacing the filter cartridge. This is what Grünbeck's fine filters offer you. The pureliQ:K/KD, for example, is a fine filter.
Reliable filtration day after day. Unlike the replacement filter, the backwash filter is a backwashable filter. In the backwashing process, the filter elements are flushed with filtered drinking water, whereby the particles retained in the filter are flushed into the drain with the flushing water via an outlet. According to DIN EN 806-5, A, backwashing is required at least every 6 months for hygienic reasons. However, at Grünbeck, we recommend backwashing every 2 months. Depending on the model, the backwash filter is also equipped with a pressure reducer, e.g. the pureliQ:RD.
Convenient filtration by means of an automatic filter. With the normal backwash filter, backwashing must be triggered manually. The automatic filter takes over this task independently and is time-controlled, so that you can use the drinking water at any time without worrying. One such model is the pureliQ:A. ThepureliQ:AD is also equipped with a pressure reducer.
